A product doesn’t exist on its own, it is dependent on the interaction and care of the environment it finds itself in. The work of Jacob Alm Andersson aspires to reimagine everyday objects with a close attention to the context in which they will be introduced. Resourcefulness, optimism and a humanistic design approach are key elements of his design practice.

Building a product portfolio from his hub in Malmö, Jacob has an ambition to create a body of work that can help influence the life of many to become easier, gentler and more joyful. With a curious mindset Jacob is inspired by the unexpectedness of ordinary life and finds inspiration in the interaction between people, products and spaces. Through observation he try to find the key to optimize and surprise which is prevalent in his design concepts and form decisions.

Jacob Alm Andersson grew up outside of Malmö and attended Lund School of industrial design (bachelor 2017 - 2020, master 2020 - current). The explorative approach of the industrial design education has laid the foundation for Jacob’s playful mindset to products, services and spaces. His upbringing on the southern Swedish coast has given him an appreciation for natural sanctuaries found in nature and has greatly influenced his sense of responsibility for the things we create and produce.
